THE TEST DRIVE MEME

Hey, ho, DWRP! Apps for

sweven open in a week!! Rather than make you wait one more week to start playing with the setting, you get to have this meme to have some pre-game fun!

The way it works is simple. Just post a comment with your character as if they were in game, with a line or two of either a setting or a network post. Then go reply to other people and thread to your heart's content. Shenanigans ensue! And then everyone apps everyone ever and you've already got an idea of what kind of CR you could get in-game.

[Scene: a park near the hotel.

Now, what does a sin against nature do in such a place? The answer would appear to be climb all the trees.

He's squirreled up into the middling branches of a decent sized one, and is currently hanging upside down from a branch. There's a great big grin on his face (and if his teeth seem a touch sharper then that's just your imagination) as he takes in the sights and sounds and smells and holy cats, but this is possibly the best thing ever.]

[Primrose has never seen adults act like a child before, playing around by dangling upside down from a tree. So she's standing beneath the branch and just staring, trying to figure out what in the world would put a smile like that on someone's face.]

Does it hurt your legs at all to do that?

[It seems like a logical question to ask, quite honestly.]

[He'd be lying if he said he didn't feel a momentary panic - he's been seen, and all hell will break loose now--

Except that he's not in Central, not in Amestris. New world, new rules, and he doesn't even have to follow those if he doesn't want to.]

Nope. [He says it with a smile, but he still pushes his sunglasses up more securely to hide his eyes. One hand holds the shades in place as he unhooks his legs and twists midair to land lightly on his feet in front of her.] I'm a hardy kind of guy.

Even still, you could easily scratch your legs.

[She speaks even through looking entirely impressed that he's able to do all that and then land on his feet, and she just peers up at him.

Her gaze drifts back up to the tree, and then she looks all tiny and determined.]

How did you do it without falling out?

Well, it wouldn't be fun without some kind of risk, would it?

Just held on tight enough, I guess. Didn't seem to be that much to it. [He scratches his chin, cocks his head down at her.] You wanna try for yourself?

I've never climbed a tree before. [She admits with a sheepish laugh, because who in District 12 had time for climbing trees?

She steps in closer to the tree and reaches out to place a palm up against the bark of the trunk, and her head tips back to look up above at the branches.]

There's enough of a risk in just living where I come from, I don't think I've ever thought of doing something risky just to have fun.

Me either before today. But the way I figure it is that every life has its own dangers. Might be more or less so than somebody else's, but it's still there and if you let that rule your life then it's not worth living.

[Shrug because random philosophical speeches happen with anime characters.]
