THE TEST DRIVE MEME
Hey, ho, DWRP! Apps for ![]() The way it works is simple. Just post a comment with your character as if they were in game, with a line or two of either a setting or a network post. Then go reply to other people and thread to your heart's content. Shenanigans ensue! And then everyone apps everyone ever and you've already got an idea of what kind of CR you could get in-game. Sound fun? Well, then what are you doing still reading? Hop to! |

[She's not sure that what she sees and hears is real at first, and her attention is on high alert as she's approached. And as soon as Katniss is close enough for Prim to see all the familiar details of her sister's face, the blonde is up and out of the swing.
She rushes in close and wraps her arms tightly around Katniss, clinging hold of her for dear life.]
I thought I had lost you again, Katniss.
[She realizes then that her sister's asked her questions, and she has to pull away to answer them properly.]
If Mother or Gale are here, I haven't seen them yet. Only you. But Katniss, look -
[She pauses, to hold up her arm to show off the tattoo on her wrist, which happens to be the Mockingjay emblem that has become Katniss' symbol.]
I've tried over and over again to remove it, but it's permanent. There's some herbs and plants back home that Mother would use to fade marks on someone's skin, but I don't think that they would work quite the same on something like this.
[Not to mention, they weren't in Panem anymore. Wherever they were now, things were most definitely different. Who knew what kind of plants exist here?]

All she can think of is her prep team, specifically Venia and her gold tattoos.]
They won't come off.
[Venia had been put through hell and no matter how much her body deteriorated, her tattoos remained the same. She tries to shake that thought away.]
We need to get inside somewhere, find a map. This has to be somewhere in Panem, maybe a part of one of the bigger districts I didn't get to see. The sooner we know, the sooner we can get back.

The first thing I thought to do after waking up was find out a location. I talked to someone, and we're in a place called Montana. It's not a District at all.
[She looks so upset and worried right now, disappointed that she didn't have better or more informative news to tell her sister.]
I don't know very much else about this place, other than that.

And yet there's Prim, looking at her like she has any reason to feel sorry.]
You're a million steps ahead of where I am. I was too scared to talk to anyone until I found you. [Scared. It wasn't completely inaccurate. Mostly she's just unwilling to talk to anyone she didn't know, at this point. Not when she had a habit of always saying the wrong thing.
She reaches down for her sister's hand, an anchor for the both of them.]
Let's take a look around, then. See what ..Montana's all about. Maybe we can find out if anyone else is just as lost as we are. [And find a weapon, maybe. Something that could be used as one.]

There's a lot of other people here who look lost. Some of them have the same markings on their wrist, I think. They seemed very focused in on looking at their arm, so I just assumed...
[She trails off with a shrug, trying not to overshadow Katniss in the knowing what's going on and being in charge department. She wants her sister to understand that she's able to mostly fend for herself now, but also doesn't want to upset her, and Katniss looks pretty on edge right now.
So she squeezes her sister's hand and keeps on smiling, and lets Katniss lead the way.]
Let's see what we can find, Katniss. Do you think Buttercup could be hiding somewhere?
[Thinking of finding her cat puts a bounce to her step, and for a moment she feels like a little kid again, too easily excited about simple and small things when there's important things going on around her. It normally would be frustrating, but right now it actually serves to reassure her.]

If Prim wasn't right beside her, smiling, she would have been reaching something of a breaking point right about now, she's sure of it.]
I wouldn't be shocked at all if he found a way to follow you here. [She even manages to add a little fondness to her tone, knowing how much her sister loves the squashed-face fur ball.] He's probably finding somewhere safe for us to stay before he comes and finds us.
